How To Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 Untethered Mac & Windows iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch


Earlier today Apple released iOS 7.1.2 to the public for all iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad models. To no avail, Apple didn't take the opportunity to patch the vulnerabilities that Pangu exploits in their latest 7.1.2 firmware; users are still able to use the utility to obtain an untethered Jailbreak on any device running iOS 7.1.2 .
The Pangu Jailbreak Tool can be utilized to jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 -  7.1 Untethered On All iDevices. 

Mac OS X

Step 1: Download PanGu
Step 1: Download PanGu
Step 2: Plug your iOS 7.1.x device to your computer via USB
Step 3: Backup your device on iTunes just in case. Also be sure to turn off pass codes (if any) so the jailbreak will run smoothly. (Settings > Passcodes > Turn Passcode Off)
Step 4: Open & run Pangu_v1.1.dmg
Step 5: Click the Start Jailbreak button.
Step 6: Pangu will ask you to go to Settings > General > Date & Time and disable the Set Automatically toggle. You will then need to set the date to June 2, 2014(Date & Time will go back to normal after jailbreak is complete)
Step 7: Once the Jailbreak process begins, you will then see the Pangu app icon on the Home screen. Tap the Pangu icon to launch the Pangu app.
Step 8: From here, you will just sit back & relax while the jailbreak is in process. The whole process takes about 5-10 minutes, so be patient.
Step 9: Once the jailbreak is completed, unlock your device. You should now see Cydia on the Home screen.

Windows

Step 1: Download PanGu
Step 2: Connect your device to your computer, and back up all personal data to prepare for any eventuality.
Step 3: Run Pangu_v1.1.exe.
Step 4: Click on “Jailbreak” Button to start jailbreak Process.
Step 5: Pangu will prompt you to change the system time in the Settings app, to June 2.
Navigate to Settings -> General -> Date & Time, disable Set Automatically and change the time to any time period of June 2
Step 6: Once the time is correct, waiting for a while, you will see PanGu app on your home screen, click it, a window pops up, click OK.
Step 7: The device will reboot, please do not close pangu.exe and disconnect your device.
Step 8: Slide to Unlock your device after rebooting. Wait a moment, you will see Cydia 1.1.12 has been installed on your device.
Done, congratulations, your 7.1.2 device has been jailbroken untethered by PanGu.

How To Jailbreak iOS 7.1.1/7.1 Untethered Mac OS X Pangu 1.1.0 English Verison

The Pangu Dev team has released an updated version of their jailbreak, yesterday, PanGu v1.1.0 which works on iOS 7.1.1 and iOS 7.1However, PanGU v1 was only available for Windows, and the interface was in Chinese languageIn this case, its not only compatible with Windows OS, but Mac OS X as well. Some other changes with Pangu v1.1.0 that you will noticeably see include English support. This written guide will give you step-by-step instructions to jailbreak your iOS device with Pangu on your Mac.
Things to note before you proceed:
  • Pangu is an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1.
  • Pangu supports following iOS 7.1 – iOS 7.1.1 devices:
    • iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4
    • iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
    • iPad mini, Retina iPad min
    • iPod touch 5G
  • Disable the passcode as the jailbreak may fail, if the passcode is enabled (Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock On -> Turn Passcode Off).
  • Make a backup of your device using iTunes before proceeding.
  • Please ensure you’ve updated iTunes to the latest version.
  • Please note that jailbreaking your iOS device may void your warranty and hence proceed with caution and at your own risk.
  • If you have updated your device via OTA, restore your device through iTunes.
Step 1: Download the latest version of Pangu jailbreak for PanGU.io.
Step 2: Make sure your device is compatible with Pangu. the following devices are compatible with this version of the jailbreak:

Step 3: Connect your device to your computer, and use iCloud or iTunes to back up any and all personal data that you need. The jailbreak has been reported to be working in most cases, but on the off chance something goes wrong, it’s a good idea to have a back up.
Step 4: Double click on the Pangu_v1.1.dmg file you just downloaded to mount it.

Step 5: You should now see a new window with a Pangu.app icon.

Step 6: Double click on the icon to open Pangu.app. You should be presented with a screen like the one seen below. Once you’re ready and connected, click on the Jailbreak button to start the process:

Step 7: Follow the on-screen instructions. The app will ask you at one point to set your device to June 2nd. To do this, go to Settings -> General -> Date & Time.
Step 8: After you change the date, it should restart the process and install the Pangu app on your iOS device.
Step 9: Tap on the Pangu app on the Home screen of your device when prompted to continue with the jailbreak process.
Step 10: When you launch the Pangu app, it prompts you with the following message “Are you sure you want to open the application “Pangu” from the Devoloper “iPhone Distributon: Hefei Bo Fan coomunication technology co. LTD”? Tap on Continue to proceed.
Step 11: Wait for your device to reboot several times. After a few minutes you should see that you have Cydia on your home screen and you’ll be ready to start installing tweaks on iOS 7.1.x.
